I think every person deals with lust at one time or another. Not only sexual lust but lust for power, money, recognition. Even having a "lust" for a big ministry is dangerous. Great thoughts!
To overcome the lust of the flesh, we must always recite Romans 12:1, "Therefore I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship." One day our earthly bodies will be transformed by God into glorified bodies and we will be with Him forevermore. Our heart is also the temple of the Holy Spirit therefore, we must keep our bodies clean and free from any stain of sin and corruption. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

There are so many forms of lust. In fact, as long as we are still here on this earth, we are subject to many forms of evil. Unless we fixed our eyes on our Creator we would not be able to overcome evil. It is only through Him that we can be able to overcome it.
I can't help but think how whole Christian sub-groups are formed around issues of lust - the ones that OTHERS struggle with! Sometimes we each point to certain lusts (sex, alcohol, food, spending, etc.) as the "really bad" ones while we don't put too much emphasis on the things with which we struggle.

Its true Ms. May that lust is one of the biggest struggle of every christians, and I also agree that lust is not just in the sense of sexual desires.Loving the materials in this world is also a form of lust.Love of money, gadgets, and all those things that are temporary but we give more importance.
