Fruit of the Holy Spirit

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

ASK YOURSELF:

How can one be connected with the Holy Spirit?
What are the Fruits of the Spirit?
Why must we worship God in spirit and truth?

Thank you for giving us something to dwell on today...questions to stir us up to "dig deeper" into His Word. The Holy Spirit is our Divine Enabler. Just like I told my two children, He is the "ignition switch" to our spiritual "motor." We can sit in our car, parked in the driveway, and pretend to drive all day long...however, we will not GO anywhere unless we turn the switch, and ignite the power to the motor. We must rely on, and fully obey the Holy Spirit's leading. He will guide us in every way....for He is Truth. (p.s. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today too. Have a great day!)

When we become born again, the Holy Spirit takes His residence in our hearts. But we must daily walk in the ways of the Lord by constant prayers, reading the word of God and do His will so that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

The best way for me to connect with the Holy Spirit is by prayer and reading the Bible. It is quite noticeable when I start neglecting this.

Like Tammy said above, I appreciate that you ask these thought provoking questions.

I see the Bible teaching that when we choose to give our hearts and lives over to God through Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in our hearts. I connect with the Holy Spirit by spending time in the Bible, praying, being still before God, worshiping God.

Galatians 5:22 lists the following as the fruit of the spirit:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.

I think we have to worship God in spirit and truth instead of worshiping Him with religion/rules. It has to be HIS way - truth. It has to be from our spirit - that part of us that is eternal.
