Invitation to be Born-Again

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

ASK YOURSELF:

How can one be born again?
How can you know that you are born again?

Is it absolutely neccessary to be born twice before one can enter into God's kingdom?

Yes, we can not enter the kingdom of God unless we are born again. We can become born again if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and surrender our lives to Him. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Thanks for the inspired post. God bless you always.

In the journey of our life, each time we shed off a layer in our character.. that which we realize does not in any way contribute to our growth, maturity, and development.. we become new. Renewed and reborn as the process goes on and on -- refining, cleansing, purifying, honing, reworking -- until we finally become the persons we were meant to be by God's design.

God works in our lives with that goal in mind, sends the many opportunities to bring us His light, grace, mercy, guidance, love to enable us in this task and journey.

It's a race, some may be slow and some fast but we'll all get there. Because God does not lose any one of his children.

Blessings of light and grace pour upon you from a magnificent God on high.

I agree with Mel. The thief on the cross story sheds light on how we can be saved. It's all in the heart, and not based on our works. Grace, grace, grace.

I've got to concur with Mel and Deborah Ann - and add how grateful I am for the grace of Christ. I'm grateful that, as it says in Ephesians 2:4-10, He even gave me the faith to be able to believe in Him.

Hi May:)

Very thought provoking post.

It could be true that we are born again once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

But this is easier said than done. When we receive Baptism, it is said that it is an outward sign of inward grace. But unless and until we are mentally prepared to accept Christ in all our thoughts, words, deeds and actions we have not truly accepted HIM and we are not born again.

Jesus also said that unless you become like little children you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Does this also mean that we have to be born again or reinvent our selves to our childhood to be in God's Heaven?

We can have a Cristian name and yet be full of greed, gluttony, avarice, lust,
uncontrollable anger, revengeful feelings, uncharitable acts, unkindness and so on.Therefore even if we have a Christian name and have accepted Christ as our Savior, we have to be born again and ensure there is complete transformation inside our selves.

I suppose this the true meaning of this post.

Best wishes May:)
Joseph

Amen to this post. I was baptized MArch 12,2010. I was baptized in water and believed that my sins were buried together when Jesus died on the cross to redeem me from sin.

You always get us thinking! I definitely believe we need to be "born again" before entering heaven but I think that this will look differently depending on each person. It might be a very emotional experience for one but a very logical experience for another. We shouldn't judge other people's born again experiences against our own experience.

Great post as always!
