Another year is dawning;
Dear Father, let it be
A year of minutes, hours,
To live our lives for Thee.
A calendar of weeks and months
To do our Father's will;
Another year is dawning,
Oh, keep us faithful still.
The old year now is fading,
A new year's in the fore,
And in this dawning new year
There stands an open door.
Lord, bless us as we enter,
And we ask Thee prayfully
That we might long more dearly
To live our lives for Thee.
