Power of the Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
He sent forth his word and healed them; and delivered them from their destructions.
For all men are like grass,and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall;but the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word that was preached unto you. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

ASK YOURSELF:

What is your favorite Bible Verse?
If it seems hard to read and study the scriptures on a daily basis, what are other options?
I've given you the verses, I'll let you decide how powerful is the Word.

It used to be difficult for me to study the Bible daily but I have been doing it so long now it is second nature.

James 1:17 is one of my favorite Bible Verses.

Of course our favorite Bible verses would be John 3:16 which is the very essence and heart of the Bible. My other favorite Bible verses are Psalm 23, Proverbs 3:5-6, Philippians 4:13 & 19, Isaiah 40:31, Jeremiah 29:11& 13, 14, Zechariah 4:6b, Hebrews 12:2a, John 14:6, Acts 4:12 and Philippians 2:5-11. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

I need the Bible every day. I'm reminded of Romans 12:2 that urges me not to be conformed to this world but transformed by renewing my mind so I can live out God's will. Being in the Word daily changes the way I think, without thinking on God's Word regularly I'd become like the world around me.

I'm totally smitten with the 'Love Chapter!" I have it on many items 'round the Ponderosa.

In the beginning....I drove all adults crazy when young askin'," if God made the world then who made God." The pat answer was, as the Bible states...God was. At a very young age that didn't satisfy so I kept on buggin' those around me. Now I get it, that where faith comes in. Isn't God good?

God bless ya and have a marvelous Monday!!!

Only through the Word of God (the Bible)that we can gain wisdom that He wants to have for us. Through the Word of God we can fight off the forces of evil and Satan's snares.
"Your Word is a lamp upon my feet and light upon my path."
My favorite Bible verses are so many but there are 3 of them I'm jotting down here;
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love HIm, who have been called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6
And of course, John 3:16.
If one cannot read the Bible daily, try to meditate on verses that he had memorized and put in his heart, sing praises to God and pray for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

What a nice upbeat blog you have, May. :-)

The first quote that popped into my mind was, "The Truth shall set you free."

And then that a good woman's price is above rubies is another all time favourite. ;-)
