Friend or Foe

"It is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies." - 2 Kings 17:39

How many times we become attached to another and confine in them? Later we might learn that they have deceived or betrayed us. Do they then become today's friend and tomorrow enemy?

Satan, the real enemy is seeking to destroy the ones who is not hostile. It is Us who lose when we listen to the voice of the enemy. But when we allow God to fight for us against the enemy we achieve victory. Before we can reach victory, it comes after forgiveness to those that hurt us.

God is a about moving ahead, because he have already forgiven us for our past. Before we can move forward we must bury the past. Through transformation we renew our ways of doing things and no longer the way of the world. Proverbs 16:7 tells us these ways are pleasing to the Lord and he makes even our enemies live at peace with us.

It is good that we have a you Father, You're the Greatest. Help me to be a cheerful forgiver

I so needed to read this post today. I am currently at odds with a very good friend of mine and I know Satan is trying to deteriorate our relationship. We need to forget, forgive and move ahead! Thanks for sharing these words!

As Christians, things will be a lot easier if we make it a point to live in order to please God and give glory to His name. All else become just icing on the proverbial cake. Thanks for your inspired post. God bless you always.

I can relate to this post May.It hurts so badly when the person you believed to be your friend is the person who you will know would betray you. But as I learned from the elders, they say that I must not hold any grudges on my offender, let God deal with her than put justice on my on hand. Thank you for this very timely post.

Its also nice to be back here, since I was on and off in the blogosphere lately:-)

Hi May:)

This well written message is very useful for all of us because sometimes we find it difficult to accept the fact that a person to whom we are close has betrayed us. This is a terrible to thing to happen to any one and it leaves great pain and anguish in our hearts.

The only person who never fails us is God. HE is with us always giving
us courage,strength,motivation and
and inspiration to carry on.

All things in this earth are fleeting, temporary and passing. People who completely depend on things of this earth for their peace and happiness are bound to be shocked sometime or the other. Hence the need to have a strong and steadfast faith in God Almighty.

Your post is truly inspiring.

Best wishes May:)
Joseph

You make such a good point May, about who our real enemy is. I'm reminded of how in Ephesians 6:12 we're told that our battle is not with flesh and blood, our real battle is in the spiritual realm. It's so easy for me to get all upset, of think of someone as an enemy, rather than be tuned into what's really going on.

Thanks for the encouragement, May! I really needed to hear this today. As I was reading, God spoke to me about a situation I didn't handle with His love...
